Aakash BYJU’S students Dhruv Advani, Rohit Panda and Megh Chhabda have made the institute and the country proud by winning gold medals in the prestigious 34th International Biology Olympiad (IBO) 2023 which was held at the UAE University in the United Arab Emirates from July 3-11.
Four students were selected to represent India in IBO 2023, out of which 3 students — Dhruv, Rohit (Classroom students) and Megh (DLP Student)– are Aakashians.
Team India made history by each of its participants winning a gold.
This year students from 78 nations participated in the IBO.
Based on their performance in OCSC 2023 Camp (June 02–June 11, 2023), Dhruv, Rohit and Megh were selected in the 4-member Indian Team for IBO 2023. A total of 36 students were selected for this OCSC Biology Camp through the INBO-2023 Examination.
Congratulating the trio on their impressive feat, Aakash Educational Services Limited (AESL) CEO Abhishek Maheshwari said: “We are very proud of Dhruv, Rohit and Megh who represented India and won gold at the global platform in UAE for IBO 2023. The credit for their feat goes to the hard work put in by them and our faculty apart from the quality test preparation imparted at the institute. I wish them best of luck for their future endeavors.”
