The 23rd All India Major Port Cultural Meet 2023-24 held at Jayadev Sadan, here came to an end on Sunday evening with scintillating performances by the participants. Paradip Port Authority (PPA) along with Major Ports Sports Control Board successfully organised the cultural extravaganza.
Gracing the valedictory function as Chief Guest, PPA Chairman PL Haranadh thanked the participants for entertaining the people of the port township for the last four days.
PPA Deputy Chairman Nilabhra Dasgupta and Paradip Ladies Club President P Girija Sundari graced the evening as Guests of Honour.
Around 200 participants from 10 Major Ports across the country participated in the cultural meet.
Team JNPA was crowned as the overall champion. SMPA won the first runners-up title while MBPA won the second runners-up award.
PPA’s Shuvendra Kumar Sethy bagged the first prize in instrumental music category. Swarnalata Tripathy of PPA won the Best Supporting Artist (Female) award.
Organising Committee Chairman DN Sondhi presided over the proceedings. Vice Chairman AC Sahoo, Secretary DP Sethy, Co-ordinator Rabi Dash, and Jt. Secretary Ranjan Rashmi Beura were also present at the closing ceremony
PPA DTM Sriman Narayan Mishra compeered the programme.
