Adani Foundation celebrates International Women’s Day

The Adani Foundation marked the International Women’s Day on March 8th, 2024, at its Adani Skill Development Centre situated in Kuamara, within the Dhamra Port region.

This day-long celebration commenced with an inaugural ceremony graced by Kamala Mishra, President of the Baba Dhabaleswar Panchayat Women Federation, as the Chief Guest. Joining her were esteemed guests Ashalata Das, Sarpanch of Karanpalli, as the Guest of Honour, Sabitri Biswal, Programme Manager of Fellowship, and Dr. Jasaswini Mishra, a Doctor from the Health and Wellness Centre in Dhamra.

Over 200 women from nine peripheral gram panchayats surrounding Adani Dhamra Port, including ASHA workers from the Health and Wellness Centre in Dhamra, members of Women Self-Help Groups, Women Producers Groups, and former students of the Adani Skill Development Centre, who have since become self-made entrepreneurs and contributors in various parts of Odisha and beyond, actively participated in this significant event.

The occasion provided a platform for the invited guests and representatives from ASHA Workers, Women Self-Help Groups, Women Producers Groups, and ex-students of the Adani Skill Development Centre to share their experiences and discuss future endeavors, aligning with the theme of International Women’s Day 2024: “Invest in Women: Accelerate Progress”.
