The Indian Institute of Architects, Odisha Chapter, commemorated International Women’s Day 2024 on Sunday at a city hotel here, honoring the outstanding achievements of women architects in Odisha and their invaluable contributions to the field of architecture and design.

Esteemed guests, including senior bureaucrat Yamini Sarangi graced the occasion, lending prestige to the celebration.

The event commenced with insightful technical presentations delivered by leading women architects of Odisha, showcasing their innovative approaches and groundbreaking projects, setting a tone of inspiration for the attendees.

The highlight of the evening was the mesmerizing theme-based fashion show titled “Naari – Women’s Journey Through the Ages.” Women architects of Odisha adorned apparel representing different historical eras, from ancient times to post-independence India and the contemporary era. In a touching tribute to their exemplary leadership and contributions, the Chapter felicitated senior women architects, including Ar. Prof. Dr. Bharati Mohapatra, Ar. Namita Mohapatra, and Ar. A. Subhalaxmi Pattajoshi, acknowledging their significant impact on the profession and inspiring the next generation of architects.
