The Indian Renewable Energy Development Agency Limited (IREDA), recognized as the nation’s leading pure-play green financing Non-Banking Financial Company (NBFC), has achieved unprecedented milestones in the financial year 2023-24, as per an official statement released on Tuesday.
During this fiscal year, IREDA has recorded its highest-ever annual loan sanctions, totaling an impressive Rs 37,354 crore. Moreover, the company has successfully disbursed loans amounting to Rs 25,089 crore, indicating a robust growth rate of 26.71 percent in its loan book, which now stands at Rs 59,650 crore.
Expressing his views on the company’s performance, Pradip Kumar Das, Chairman and Managing Director of IREDA, emphasized, “IREDA’s remarkable achievement in loan sanctions and disbursements for the fiscal year 2023-24 underscores our unwavering commitment to spearheading the renewable energy revolution in our nation.”
He further added, “We take pride in our substantial contribution towards the Union government’s renewable energy targets and eagerly anticipate further magnifying our impact in the forthcoming years.”
