BERHAMPUR, APRIL 6, 2024 (TBB BUREAU): In commemoration of World Health Day, TP Southern Odisha Distribution Limited (TPSODL) redoubles its commitment to cultivating healthier communities through a series of health-centric endeavors. Embracing this year’s theme, “My Health, My Right,” TPSODL takes the lead in guaranteeing the well-being of its employees and the communities nestled across southern Odisha.
Embedded within its Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) framework, TPSODL champions the operation of Mobile Health Dispensaries (MHD), dedicated to addressing the healthcare needs of remote villages in southern Odisha. This initiative endeavors to bridge the gap in healthcare accessibility by delivering fundamental medical services directly to the doorsteps of communities grappling with geographical barriers. Staffed with an MBBS doctor, a pharmacist, and a nurse, TPSODL’s two Mobile Health Dispensaries (MHDs) in Boudh and Jeypore have extended healthcare services to over 40,000 individuals. This outreach spans across 992 villages and 449 gram panchayats, benefiting a populace exceeding 2 lakh.
The Mobile Health Dispensaries offer a gamut of services, encompassing complimentary consultations, treatments, and dispensing medicines to those in need. Functioning throughout the month, these health camps serve not only as venues for medical examinations and prescriptions but also as channels for the distribution of free medicines. The primary beneficiaries of these camps are the elderly, women, and children, drawing a substantial turnout.
