BHUBANESWAR, MAY 14, 2024 (TBB BUREAU): As India Skills 2023-24 prepares to kick off, Odisha emerges as a frontrunner with 64 skilled individuals ready to showcase their talents on the national stage. This three-day event, starting Wednesday, will draw over 1500 participants from all corners of the country, vying for recognition and promising career opportunities.
Spanning five days, the championship will unfold across prominent locations like Delhi, Bhubaneswar, Manipal, and Gandhinagar. Odisha’s participants, representing a diverse array of skill areas, are geared up to raise the bar of competitiveness in the skills arena.
Facilitated by the National Skill Development Corporation (NSDC), India Skills acts as a springboard for youth to display their prowess across both traditional and emerging sectors. The winners will proudly carry the Indian flag at World Skills 2024 in Lyon, France.
To ensure a high standard of competition, esteemed panels of judges and experts from World Skills will meticulously assess live performances across multiple centers. The NSDC has diligently coordinated logistics at all venues to ensure smooth execution of the competition.
With 52 skills covering six sectors, including Construction and Building Technology, Creative Arts and Fashion, Information and Communication Technology, Manufacturing and Engineering Technology, Social & Personal Services, and Transportation & Logistics, India Skills 2023-24 provides a platform for talented young individuals to launch their careers. This nationwide competition empowers them to contribute significantly to shaping India’s promising future across various skill domains.
