MUMBAI, JUNE 2, 2024 (TBB BUREAU): Jindal Stainless, India’s largest stainless steel manufacturer, has once again clinched the prestigious International Safety Awards in the ‘merit’ category from the British Safety Council. This marks the fifth consecutive year the company has received this recognition for its outstanding safety initiatives implemented at its manufacturing plants in Jajpur (Odisha) and Hisar (Haryana).
The award was received by Senior Vice President and Hisar Unit Head Vijay Kumar Bindlish, along with Sudhir Kumar, Head of Environment, Health, and Safety in Hisar; Manoj Bal, Head of Fire and Safety in Jajpur; and Deepak Jain, Vice President in Hisar. The accolade was presented during a ceremony held in Mumbai.
Abhyuday Jindal, Managing Director of Jindal Stainless, expressed his pride in the company’s achievement, stating, “Winning this award for the fifth time in a row reflects our company’s consistent dedication to the safety of its employees that goes beyond merely following the protocol.”
Jindal emphasized the company’s commitment to fostering a culture of safety where every individual feels empowered to identify and address potential risks. He added, “We are proud of this achievement, but more importantly, recognitions such as this motivate us to continuously set higher standards for safety in the future.”
Jindal Stainless’ relentless efforts to maintain the highest safety standards have been instrumental in securing this award for the fifth consecutive year. The company remains resolute in its pursuit of achieving zero accidents and endeavours to continually elevate its safety protocols.
The British Safety Council’s International Safety Awards are renowned for recognizing organizations that prioritize the well-being of their workforce. This year, a total of 1,251 applications were received for these awards, with winners spanning various sectors from around the globe, including the UK, Africa, Asia, China, Europe, India, the Middle East, Turkey, and the Republic of Ireland.
