Paradip, June 10, 2024 (TBB Bureau): The Paradip Port Authority Officers’ Club buzzed with excitement on Sunday as the inaugural Friendly Invitation Cup Badminton tournament, organized by the Paradip Badminton Association, concluded in a spectacular fashion. Bokaro Steel Plant emerged victorious in a thrilling final against Paradip, claiming the title and showcasing their exceptional badminton skills.
The tournament featured 34 players from Bokaro Steel Plant, Rourkela Steel Plant, SAIL office, and the Paradip Badminton Association, competing in various categories including Open Singles, Veteran Singles, Open Doubles, and Veteran Doubles. The event was a true testament to the participants’ talent and sportsmanship.
Esteemed guests such as SAIL ED (Logistics) Subash Kumar Das and PPA Advisor (Traffic) AK Bose graced the occasion, witnessing the intense matches and remarkable performances. The dignitaries presented awards to the winners, praising the players for their dedication and spirit.
“The tournament not only showcased the competitive spirit of the players but also fostered camaraderie and goodwill among participants and spectators alike,” remarked Subash Kumar Das.
