JSP Chairman Naveen Jindal meets Odisha Chief Minister and Deputy Chief Minister

Bhubaneswar, August 29, 2024 (TBB Bureau):  Naveen Jindal, the third-time Member of Parliament from the Kurukshetra Lok Sabha constituency and Chairman of Jindal Steel & Power (JSP), paid courtesy visits to Odisha Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi, and Deputy Chief Minister Kanak Vardhan Singh Deo, at Lok Seva Bhawan, here on Thursday.

During the meetings, discussions centered around the ongoing projects of JSP in Odisha.

Jindal briefed the Chief Minister on the ambitious expansion plans for the Angul Steel Plant, which aims to increase its production capacity to 25.2 million tonnes per annum (MTPA) in phases. Once completed, this expansion will position the Angul Steel Plant as the world’s largest steel plant located at a single site.

The Chief Minister expressed his appreciation for JSP’s efforts and contributions toward the industrial development of Odisha. He acknowledged the role of the company in driving economic growth and creating employment opportunities in the state.

Jindal, in turn, assured the Chief Minister that JSP would continue to collaborate with the Government and the people of Odisha to achieve industry-led holistic development for the region.

The meeting marks another step in strengthening the partnership between JSP and the Odisha government, emphasizing the company’s commitment to sustainable growth and its significant role in the state’s industrial landscape.
