Bhubaneswar, September o1, 2024 (TBB Bureau): Centurion University, in collaboration with SRB Consultancy, successfully hosted the Eastern India launch of the book Power Within: The Leadership Legacy of Narendra Modi by Dr. R. Balasubramaniam. The event, held in Bhubaneswar, was a significant milestone in a nationwide series of book launches, bringing together an illustrious audience and fostering a thought-provoking discourse on leadership in today’s world.
The evening saw the presence of esteemed guests, including Senior Advocate Shri R. Venkataramani, the Attorney-General for India, who attended as the chief guest, and Dr. R. Balasubramaniam, Member – HR, Capacity Building Commission, Government of India, and the author of the book. The central theme of the event, “Leadership through Indic Wisdom,” delved into how traditional Indian values and ethos have influenced Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s 50-year journey in public service.
Power Within presents an in-depth exploration of leadership by contrasting Western theories with Indian perspectives. The book sheds light on how Modi’s journey of self-discovery and adherence to Indic wisdom have shaped his governance and leadership approach, offering a unique, introspective view on leading with purpose and integrity in the contemporary world.
Speaking at the event, Prof. Mukti Kanta Mishra, President of Centurion University, remarked, “It has been an immense honour to witness the launch of Power Within: The Leadership Legacy of Narendra Modi in Eastern India. This book captures the essence of our Prime Minister, a man of a million missions, whose leadership is a true manifestation of the power from within. Highlighting the transformative leadership of Prime Minister Modi, Rajib Sekhar Sahoo, Eminent Chartered Accountant, stated, “Visionary leaders are not afraid to take risks and try new things. Honourable PM Narendra Modi is certainly a visionary leader and has never been afraid of taking risks, trying new things, and leading from the front in the reform process, whether in social, political, geographical, or economic changes. The last 10 years of his tenure as Prime Minister have seen some of the biggest reforms that the country has witnessed. Expressing his thoughts on the book and its reception, Dr. R. Balasubramaniam, the author, shared, “It is both humbling and gratifying to see the reception of Power Within here in Eastern India. The event featured a panel discussion that offered further insights into the relevance of Indic leadership principles in the global context. The discussion included contributions from Senior Advocate Pitambar Acharya, the Advocate General of Odisha; Swami Atmaprabhananda, Adhyaksha of Ramakrishna Math; and Rajib Sekhar Sahoo. The session was moderated by Prof. Supriya Pattanayak, Vice-Chancellor of Centurion University.
The event concluded with an engaging Q&A session, leaving attendees with a renewed understanding of leadership and its pivotal role in driving meaningful societal change.
