Angul, September 17, 2024 (TBB Bureau): Jindal Steel & Power (JSP) celebrated the sacred occasion of Lord Vishwakarma Puja at its Angul Plant with profound devotion and active participation from the workforce and local community.
Leading the celebration, Angul Location Head Pankaj Malhan, accompanied by his wife Seema Malhan; Executive Director Damodar Mittal, along with his wife Anita Mittal; and other departmental heads took part in the Vedic rituals held in the Plate Mill area. Together, they offered prayers to Lord Vishwakarma, the Divine Architect and Engineer, seeking His blessings for the prosperity and well-being of everyone associated with JSP and for the nation as a whole.
Pankaj Malhan, after performing the rituals, said, “It is by the grace of Lord Vishwakarma that we achieve engineering marvels. Human endeavours alone would not suffice without His Divine Blessings. I extend my heartfelt best wishes to our workforce and urge everyone to give their best for their families, the community, and the nation.”
ED Damodar Mittal added, “I humbly pray to Lord Vishwakarma to protect and guide us, granting us the strength and safety needed to achieve our goals with Zero Harm. May this auspicious occasion bring joy and peace to everyone connected with our Angul Plant.”
In addition to the main celebration, special Puja ceremonies for Lord Vishwakarma were performed at the Jagannath Temple in Dev Bhoomi, Jindal Nagar, and at the Shramik Vihar. Residents of Jindal Nagar and workers from the colony participated in large numbers to offer their prayers. The ceremonies were meticulously organised by the HR & ES team under the guidance of Subhash Chander and the ground leadership of Sarat Panda.
The day was marked by spiritual fervour, reflecting the strong faith and dedication of JSP’s workforce as they sought divine blessings for their endeavours.
