Bongaigaon, September 17, 2024 (TBB Bureau): NTPC Bongaigaon marked Vishwakarma Puja with vibrant celebrations across its facilities, honouring Lord Vishwakarma, the Hindu deity of engineering and craftsmanship. The event saw active participation from senior management including Debabrata Kar, General Manager (O&M), and A. Biswas, General Manager (Operation), alongside employees and members of the Ladies Club.
The celebration included traditional rituals and cultural programs, highlighting the significance of the puja in recognizing the contributions of engineers and workers. A special highlight was the presentation of the Vishwakarma Shram Awards, which honoured several employees for their exceptional dedication and performance.
In a unique display of creativity and sustainability, the Ash Handling Department showcased artifacts made from waste materials, reflecting NTPC Bongaigaon’s commitment to eco-friendly practices and innovative thinking.
The festivities extended across various departments such as Civil, Electrical Maintenance, Fuel Management, HR, IT, Medical, and the Employee Welfare Association. Traditional prasad was distributed at the community hall, reinforcing a sense of unity and inclusiveness among all employees.
Through these celebrations, NTPC Bongaigaon continues to foster a culture of excellence and sustainability, while promoting a strong sense of community and togetherness within the organization.
