Bhubaneswar, September 20, 2024 (TBB Bureau): Wonderla Holidays is set to play a transformative role in enriching the lives of Odisha’s youth and promoting holistic growth, said Odisha’s Deputy Chief Minister, Pravati Parida, during the inauguration of Wonderla’s newest amusement park on the outskirts of the state capital on Friday.

At the inauguration ceremony, Deputy CM Parida emphasized the importance of such recreational spaces for the state’s younger generation. “With its world-class rides and adherence to the highest safety standards, Wonderla provides a unique experience for families and visitors. Additionally, it offers children the opportunity to step away from mobile screens and engage in outdoor activities that promote both physical and mental development. By fostering such environments, Wonderla will play a key role in enriching lives and supporting the holistic growth of Odisha’s youth,” she remarked.

Parida also highlighted the park’s potential to inspire young minds, expand recreational opportunities in Odisha, and bolster the growth of the state’s tourism sector. “This park will inspire young minds, enhance the state’s recreational offerings, and contribute to the growth of tourism,” she added.

Assuring the state government’s continued support for the venture, Parida said, “The government is committed to fully supporting Wonderla, the first and largest amusement park in Odisha.”

The grand opening of Wonderla Holidays’ latest amusement park in Bhubaneswar marks a key milestone in the company’s national expansion, reinforcing its reputation as a leader in India’s amusement and entertainment industry.

The inauguration event was attended by several high-profile guests, including Odisha Tourism Director Samarth Verma, Wonderla Holidays Limited Managing Director Arun K. Chittilappilly, President Sivadas M., COO Dheeran Choudhary, and Park Head-Bhubaneswar Kalpataru Nayak.

As the first major amusement park brand to establish a presence in Odisha, Wonderla Bhubaneswar sets a new standard for entertainment and leisure in the state. Since its soft launch in May, Wonderla Bhubaneswar has created over 400 employment opportunities, significantly contributing to the local economy. The park has also initiated impactful community development programs, including distributing school kits to local students and organizing blood donation camps in collaboration with the Red Cross Society, underscoring Wonderla’s commitment to regional development.

Wonderla’s entry into Odisha continues to strengthen its footprint across India, solidifying its status as a key player in the nation’s rapidly growing tourism and entertainment sector.
