Ranchi, October 3, 2024 (TBB Bureau): NTPC Mining Limited (NML) celebrated Gandhi Jayanti and the 10th anniversary of Swachh Bharat Diwas at its headquarters in Ranchi on Wednesday.
On this special occasion, Animesh Jain, Chief Executive Officer of NTPC Mining Limited and Regional Executive Director (Coal Mining), along with Rajnish Rastogi, CGM (HR), and other senior officials, led the celebrations. Jain administered the Swachhta Pledge to the dedicated contractual workers, which included housekeeping staff, chauffeurs, Indian Coffee House employees, security personnel, and office assistants. During his address, Jain emphasized that the Swachh Bharat Abhiyan is a transformative initiative, crucial for building a cleaner and more developed Bharat.
Following the pledge, Jain felicitated the Safai Mitras (housekeeping staff) and associate members, acknowledging their exemplary contributions in maintaining cleanliness. In his speech, he highlighted the often-overlooked but essential role of housekeeping staff in keeping workplaces and communities clean and healthy. Jain remarked, “Today, we come together to celebrate and honor the invaluable work of those who tirelessly keep our surroundings clean. It is important that we recognize and appreciate their efforts.”
The day also marked the launch of Special Campaign 4.0, which aims to intensify the Swachh Bharat Mission by focusing on cleanliness and sanitation in various public spaces. As part of this campaign, a series of cleanliness activities are planned to further promote hygiene and sanitation across public areas.
