Bongaigaon, October 28, 2024 (TBB Bureau): NTPC Bongaigaon joined the nation in marking Vigilance Awareness Week from October 28 to November 3, 2024, under the theme “Culture of Integrity for Nature’s Prosperity.” The observance commenced with a solemn oath-taking ceremony, led by Akhilesh Singh, Head of Project, NTPC Bongaigaon, with Ananta Samanta, Head of Vigilance, in attendance alongside departmental heads, employees, and representatives from unions and associations.
The week-long initiative aims to instill strong professional and ethical values among employees and promote a culture of transparency and integrity across the organization. In his address, Akhilesh Singh stressed the need to build a corruption-free society and urged all participants to remain vigilant and uphold transparency within NTPC.
A separate oath-taking ceremony was conducted within the plant premises, led by Debabrata Kar, GM (O&M), along with Asutosh Biswas, GM (Operation). Kar highlighted the role of vigilance in achieving organizational excellence and cautioned against the negative impact of corruption in modern society. The event saw enthusiastic participation from employees across various departments, reinforcing NTPC Bongaigaon’s shared commitment to high standards of governance.
Throughout the week, the vigilance wing has planned an array of competitions and activities for both internal and external participants, aimed at enhancing awareness of vigilance and commitment to integrity.
