Bhubaneswar, November 4, 2024 (TBB Bureau): In a significant move to uplift educational standards and foster a brighter future for Odisha’s youth, Vedanta Aluminium, India’s largest aluminium producer, has enhanced the infrastructure of 14 government schools and seven Anganwadi centers in the tribal-dominated Jamkani coal block area of Sundargarh. This initiative is set to impact over 750 students by providing essential school furniture and resources.
As part of this community development effort, Vedanta Aluminium distributed desks, benches, chairs, tables, racks, and almirahs to schools across Mundhelkhet, Codajalanga, Bhograkachar, Ghogharpalli, Jamkani, and Girisma villages. A handover ceremony was held, attended by the headmasters of the beneficiary schools, local community members, and the president of the Block Teachers’ Association.
