Bongaigaon, December 2, 2024 (TBB Bureau): In a heartening display of community welfare, NTPC Bongaigaon took proactive steps to combat the rising malaria cases in Kokrajhar district by distributing 100 mosquito nets to underprivileged families. This significant initiative, executed as part of NTPC’s Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) program, was conducted in association with the Bardwi Shikla Ladies Club and the Salakati Anchalik Senior Citizen Mancha.
The distribution drive, held at Salakati, was spearheaded by Sangeeta Singh, President of the Bardwi Shikla Ladies Club, and Soumya Kar, Vice President, alongside other dedicated members of the club. The event saw robust participation and meticulous planning under the guidance of Roshan Dungdung, DGM (HR), Madhurjya Singha Lahkar, DGM (Corporate Communication), Pranami Handique, Sr. Manager (HR), and Aduity Thakuri, Executive (CSR) from NTPC Bongaigaon.
Addressing the gathering, Sangeeta Singh expressed heartfelt gratitude to all contributors and emphasized the importance of collective efforts in addressing health challenges. “This distribution is a small but meaningful step toward protecting vulnerable communities from malaria.
