Bhubaneswar, December 13, 2024 (TBB Bureau): In a groundbreaking discussion on advancing governance and citizen empowerment in Odisha, Prokash Saha, Founder of Unique Info Solutions, shed light on innovative Government-to-Citizen (G2C) programs aimed at revolutionizing public service delivery. Speaking at a high-profile event in Bhubaneswar, Saha emphasized the critical role of initiatives such as One Nation One Student ID (APAAR) and the Ayushman Bharat Digital Mission in simplifying access to education, healthcare, and government services.
Joined by key dignitaries including Manish Kumar Benia (Chief Technology Officer), Farid Haque (Vice President – Operations), and Jay Prakash Mallik (State Associate), Saha underscored the transformative potential of these programs in building a more inclusive and efficient governance model.
Saha unveiled the vision behind APAAR—a pioneering initiative to provide every student with a unified digital identity. This ID will serve as a lifelong academic credential, enabling seamless access to education and career opportunities nationwide. He highlighted APAAR’s capacity to ensure transparency, enhance accountability in the education system, and offer a centralized platform to track student progress. “This initiative will empower students across Odisha by creating equal opportunities and fostering academic growth through a unified framework,” Saha stated.
The Ayushman Bharat Digital Mission, another keystone initiative, aims to establish a comprehensive digital health ecosystem. Saha detailed how this program will enable citizens to securely store and access their medical records, paving the way for faster and more accurate diagnoses. He stressed its importance in bridging the gap between rural and urban healthcare delivery. “Equitable access to quality healthcare is a fundamental right, and this mission will play a vital role in ensuring it reaches every corner of the state,” Saha remarked.
Beyond APAAR and Ayushman Bharat, Saha elaborated on additional G2C initiatives being implemented across Odisha. These include digital payment systems, which facilitate cashless transactions for government services to enhance efficiency and transparency; smart grievance redressal mechanisms, which enable swift resolution of public grievances through tech-enabled solutions; and digital literacy programs, which aim to bridge the digital divide by empowering marginalized communities with essential skills. “Odisha has the potential to become a national leader in digital governance,” Saha affirmed. “By adopting these transformative programs, we aim to bring the government closer to the people and equip every citizen with the tools to thrive in the digital era.”
Saha highlighted the need for collaboration between the government, private sector, and civil society to ensure the success of these initiatives. “Only through collective efforts can we ensure these programs reach the last mile and transform lives,” he added.
Under his leadership, Unique Info Solutions has been instrumental in supporting the rollout of these programs in Odisha, leveraging cutting-edge technology to strengthen the bridge between the government and its citizens.
The event concluded with a call to action for stakeholders to join hands in advancing Odisha’s journey toward digital empowerment and inclusive development.
