JSP Angul and community extend warm welcome to Savitri Jindal

Angul, December 20, 2024 (TBB Bureau): In a grand celebration, the Angul Unit of Jindal Steel and Power (JSP) extended a heartfelt welcome to Savitri Jindal, Chairperson Emeritus of the OP Jindal Group, during her maiden visit to the Angul plant after securing her third consecutive term as a Member of the Legislative Assembly (MLA) from Hisar, Haryana.

The welcome ceremony, marked by immense enthusiasm and participation, was led by Pankaj Malhan, Angul Location Head and Executive Director, along with Seema Malhan, Executive Director Damodar Mittal, and Anita Mittal. The event saw active involvement from students of DAV Savitri Jindal School, teachers from OP Jindal School, JSP departmental heads, employees with their families, and a large contingent from neighboring villages.

Savitri Jindal, fondly called Mataji, was greeted with a red-carpet reception upon her arrival at Jindal Airport. The ceremony featured a vibrant traditional Odissi dance performed by students, setting a cultural tone for the occasion. Following this, Mataji visited the Devbhoomi Temple in Jindal Nagar, where she interacted with employees, their families, and members of the local community. Her itinerary also included a visit to the Shree Jagannath Temple, where she performed a special puja.

Expressing her heartfelt gratitude, Savitri Jindal lauded the warmth and affection showered upon her by the people of Angul. Accompanying her were her youngest son, Naveen Jindal, Chairman of JSP and a three-time Member of Parliament from Kurukshetra, Haryana, as well as Shallu Jindal, Chairperson of the Jindal Foundation, and other family members.

Close associates of Savitri Jindal shared anecdotes highlighting her exceptional generosity and ability to make everyone feel like part of her extended family. Revered for her humility and philanthropic efforts, Mataji is a source of inspiration for many.
