Marking the 76th Republic Day, Uttara Club, under NTPC-NRHQ’s Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiatives, organized a heartwarming event to support underprivileged children in Lucknow on Sunday. The noble gesture aimed to provide essential assistance to students of Gulam Hussain Purwa Government Primary School.
The club distributed essential food items, 50 pairs of shoes, hygiene kits, and winter garments to children in need. To address malnutrition and promote health awareness, special nutrition and hygiene kits were also distributed to girl students at the school.
The initiative was spearheaded by Vijaya Rao, President of Uttara Club, who inspired the children to prioritize their education for a brighter future while extending Republic Day greetings. “Every small step can contribute to a big change, and we are proud to support these young minds,” she said.
Senior members of the club, including Neelkamal, Sangita Singha Ray, and other committee members, actively participated in the event, underscoring the club’s collective dedication to social welfare.
