Reliance Jio actively participated in National Road Safety Month by launching impactful awareness campaigns across Odisha under its “PARWAAH” initiative. This campaign reinforced the importance of road safety, urging individuals to be responsible for their own well-being and that of others. The month-long initiative was inaugurated by Pradeep Rout, State Business Head, Reliance Jio Infocomm Ltd.
The “PARWAAH” campaign aimed to instill essential road safety habits among Jio employees, their families, and the broader community. The key focus areas included wearing ISI 4151-certified full-face helmets, using seatbelts at all times, obeying traffic rules, avoiding drinking and driving, adhering to speed limits, staying attentive on the road, exercising caution in bad weather, and ensuring regular vehicle maintenance. By promoting these practices, Jio emphasized that every life is valuable and that safety should be a collective priority.
To drive home this message, Jio organized awareness road shows in multiple cities, including Bhubaneswar, Cuttack, Brahmapur, Rayagada, Bhawanipatna, Keonjhar, Angul/Nalco, Sambalpur, Rourkela, Baripada, and Bhadrak. The campaign also featured quiz competitions, road safety pledges, and poster and slogan contests, encouraging active participation and engagement.
Further reinforcing its commitment, Jio hosted a Road Safety Session for its employees, featuring expert speakers Dr. Bikas Mohapatra from the Forum for Prevention of Road Safety and Krushna Chandra Samal, retired DCP Traffic – Cuttack. They provided valuable insights into the leading causes of road accidents and essential preventive measures, educating employees on how to contribute to safer roads.
Through the “PARWAAH” initiative, Jio continues to advocate for responsible driving habits and urges everyone to make road safety a priority. Drive safe, stay safe!
