The Bharat Tech Triumph Program (BTTP), a flagship initiative of WinZO Games and the Interactive Entertainment and Innovation Council (IEIC), has announced 20 winning game developers at its Grand Finale on 26 February 2025. BTTP, now in its biggest-ever third edition, aims to propel India’s gaming industry onto the global stage.
Organized in collaboration with DPIIT and the Ministry of Information & Broadcasting (MIB), the program has seen participation from over 1,500 of India’s top game developers and students. It serves as a premier platform for fostering innovation and entrepreneurship in gaming technology and intellectual property. This year’s winners were selected by an esteemed jury, including Dr. Mukesh Aghi (CEO & President, US-India Strategic Partnership Forum), Padma Shri Prashanth Prakash (Founding Partner, Accel Partners), Archana Jahagirdar (Founder & Managing Partner, Rukam Capital), Shri Sanjiv (Joint Secretary, DPIIT), and Rajesh Raju (Managing Director, Kalaari Capital).
This edition marks a significant expansion, unlocking market access and export opportunities. The winning developers will represent India at GDC 2025 (March 17-21, San Francisco), Start-Up Mahakumbh (April 3-5, India), and WAVES (May 1-4, India), showcasing their cutting-edge games and original IPs to global investors, publishers, and industry leaders.
The BTTP’s growth comes at a transformative moment for India’s gaming industry, which is experiencing rapid expansion. According to a US-India Strategic Partnership Forum (USISPF) report, India’s gaming market is currently valued at approximately $4 billion and is projected to reach $60 billion by 2034. BTTP aligns with Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s vision of “Create in India for the World,” fostering India’s potential as a global hub for interactive entertainment, gaming technology, and indigenous IP development.
With a pan-India reach, BTTP’s third edition attracted participation from over 1,000 gaming studios, indie developers, and students from premier institutions like IITs and IIMs. The winners will now take their innovations to premier industry events, gaining unparalleled exposure to global gaming platforms.
Jury member Sanjiv, Joint Secretary, DPIIT, noted, “BTTP embodies the Prime Minister’s vision for India to lead in game development, not just game consumption. This program nurtures Indian talent and promotes our gaming content internationally.”
Prashanth Prakash, venture capitalist and BTTP jury member, highlighted India’s potential: “Gaming is evolving rapidly, and India has a chance to emerge as a global leader. BTTP plays a vital role in harnessing this momentum and positioning Indian gaming talent on the world stage.”
Paavan Nanda, Co-Founder of WinZO Games, emphasized BTTP’s impact: “With its third edition, BTTP has become a key platform for unlocking India’s game development talent. It provides essential support — including global exposure, mentorship, investor connections, and product amplification — to help developers scale their success.”
