An Automated Ticket verification and Management Access (ATMA) system has been set up at the Bhubaneswar railway station for the safety of passengers and railway authorities.
The ATMA system is an information technology (IT) system that helps in effectively monitoring the temperature of passengers and to check tickets from a safe distance by staff at the entry and exit points.
The ATMA system has four features such as a bar code scanner for scanning the QR (QR) code of train tickets based on IRCTC (IRCTC), a speaker through which the passenger enters the PNR (PNR) number through the station; a temperature scanner so that the temperature can be measured, and a camera to make sure that the passenger is wearing a mask. The ticketing staff of the Railways can access all four parameters from a safe distance from passengers so that authorized passengers can access the train station and also help prevent the increase in Covid-19 infections.
Paradip Phosphate Limited (PPL) has provided the ATMA system at the Bhubaneswar Railway Station under its Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) scheme.
PPL plans to install a similar ATMA system at Puri Railway Station soon.
Visa Steel Limited at Kalinga Nagar in Jajpur too will set up AATMA system at Jajpur-Kendujhar Road Station.
The Khordha Road Zone has come up with this innovative plan in consultation with the corporate setup for the safety of passengers and staff.
