Jindal Steel & Power (JSP) has been conferred with two prestigious accolades at the 7th Social Impact Awards 2025, organized by the Indian Chamber of Commerce (ICC) in Kolkata. The company received the Winner’s Trophy in the Education category for its flagship initiative, Jindal Asha, and the Special Jury Award in the Health category for its innovative Kishori Express program.
The awards were presented by distinguished personalities, including Agnimitra Paul, MLA of Asansol South; Anshu Gupta, Magsaysay Award winner; and Shekhar Mehta, former Global President of Rotary International. Inspired by the vision of Naveen Jindal, Chairman of JSP and a three-time Member of Parliament, and led by Shallu Jindal, Chairperson of the Jindal Foundation, the company has been driving sustainable development through inclusive education, healthcare, and skill-building programs.
Expressing her gratitude, Shallu Jindal remarked, “We are deeply honoured to receive these awards, which recognize our efforts in education and healthcare. These accolades reaffirm our commitment to transforming lives by empowering underprivileged communities. We will continue to work tirelessly to ensure equitable access to quality education and healthcare, fostering a more inclusive and progressive society.”
Over the past year, the Jindal Foundation has positively impacted over 14.6 million lives across India through its multifaceted initiatives in health, education, livelihoods, and community development. These programs have significantly contributed to improving living standards, alleviating poverty, reducing unemployment, and raising awareness on vital social issues.
