MCL to support for development of health, education infra in Balangir Dist

In a new CSR initiative, Mahanadi Coalfields Ltd. (MCL) is extending financial support to the tune of Rs. 3.65 crore to the Balangir district administration under project ‘PRAGATI’ for improving health and education infrastructure of the district.

An MoU to this effect was signed by Chanchal Rana, Collector & DM, Balangir and PK Chakraborty, General Manager (CSR), MCL at the Collectorate Office today.

Under project ‘PRAGATI’, 13 different infrastructure works will be undertaken for assisting this Aspirational district in bridging the resource gap of critical sectors under the CSR initiative of the company. The project will be implemented over a period of two years, MCL said in a statement.
