A new vegetable market developed for the local vendors at NTPC Kaniha was inaugurated on here on Wednesday.
The market was inaugurated by Dhenkanal MP Mahesh Sahoo, in presence of Shri Talcher MLA Braja Kishore Pradhan, and NTPC Kaniha Executive Director K Srinivasa Rao.
The new vegetable market is a part of NTPC Kaniha’s CSR initiative to improve road safety and avoid heavy traffic caused by vendors and customers. The New Vegetable Market will provide a safe and hygienic place for the vendors to run their business who were otherwise sitting on the road sides.
K S Rao expressed happiness that the new market will provide a safe place to the vendors and the customers as well.
NTPC Kaniha GM (Project) Rajendranath Das, AGM (HR) Prem Chand, Union and Association leaders, and local village representatives were also present at the event.
