Dr. Sweta Singh, Additional Professor in the Obstetrics and Gynaecology Department of AIIMS Bhubaneswar, has been conferred with the prestigious Federation of Obstetric and Gynaecological Societies of India (FOGSI) Movicol Corion Award.
The award is FOGSI’s highest award and carries a gold-plated plaque, certificate and a cash prize of Rs 75,000.
Dr. Singh received this award in the senior category for “Best Research” in 2020 at the recently concluded All India Congress of Obstetrics and Gynaecology (AICOG) 2022 held at Indore. Dr. Singh’s research was on hypertensive disorders of pregnancy, which complicates around 10 per cent of all pregnancies.
Congratulating Dr. Singh for the award, AIIMS Bhubaneswar Director Prof. Mukesh Tripathi and Medical Superintendent Dr. SN Mohanty said that it would encourage others to do more research for the wellbeing of society.
