NTPC Eastern Region-II Regional Executive Director, Ashim Kumar Goswami, has been awarded the Best CSR Corporate Leader, in the Top 20 Most Inspirational Personalities of Odisha Awards 2022 by Interview Times, a monthly news Bulletin of Odisha, at a function here on Sunday.
The jury that included eminent personalities such as Rajya Sabha Member Prasanta Nanda, renowned sculptor Sudarsan Sahu and AIPH University Vice Chancellor Aditya Prasad Dash, lauded the efforts of the RED (ER-II) in the field of Corporate Social Responsibility.
NTPC ER-II Region has taken many initiatives in the field of CSR. Some of the major activities include Girl Empowerment Mission in power stations under ER-II; Financial support to the tune of Rs 1 crore for construction of English Medium School for Ramkrishna Ashram at Rampur in Kalahandi to educate the tribal students in the area; Support of DG Set for Tribal Students’ Hostel at Bhubaneswar; and Support to underprivileged hearing‐impaired girls through Vasudha Ladies Club by providing them utensils, electronic Sanitary Napkin Vending machine and electrical appliances.
