The Institute of Company Secretaries of India (ICSI) organised its second international conference of ICSI Overseas Centre in London on May 11-12 on the theme “Strengthening Global Governance for an Equitable, Inclusive, and Sustainable Future”.

Appreciating the theme of the Conference, Verma said, “Leadership is the prime ability of all who stand in that position to change the direction of travel towards good governance and sustainability and Conferences like these are very vital for that.”

Highlighting India’s role on the global platform, Ghosh said, “The future of multilateralism depends on the collective ability to strengthen it in the changing world and India’s G20 Presidency is playing an effective role in providing joint solutions to global challenges.”

Expressing his delight, The ICSI President Manish Gupta drew a picture of the Institute’s global presence and mentioned how the new paradigm has necessitated a focus on building capacities and equipping professionals beyond boundaries for strengthening the basic structure of Corporate Governance and making it more than just a compliance mandate.
