Bhubaneswar, December 22, 2024 (TBB Bureau): Dr. Achyuta Samanta, a renowned social worker, educationist, and founder of KIIT and KISS, received his 64th honorary doctorate from Alliance University in Bengaluru during its 13th convocation ceremony.
The recognition highlights Dr. Samanta’s extraordinary contributions to society through education and social service. Expressing his gratitude, Dr. Samanta said, “For the last 33 years, I have been working relentlessly for the betterment of society. This honorary doctorate will remain a cherished milestone for me.”
Dr. Samanta has now been conferred honorary doctorates by 64 prestigious universities and institutions across the globe, acknowledging his transformative work in education and community development.
During the ceremony, Alliance University praised Dr. Samanta’s tireless efforts in changing lives through education and social outreach.
Other eminent personalities honored with honorary doctorates at the event included P. S. Sreedharan Pillai, Governor of Goa; Padma Bhushan Dr. Vijay Kumar Saraswat, Member of NITI Aayog and Chancellor of JNU; and Padma Shri Anju Bobby George, Vice President of the Athletic Federation of India.
