Amway India intensifies campaign to safeguard consumer wellbeing and support distributors

Bhubaneswar, October 9, 2024 (TBB Bureau): In a significant step to reinforce its commitment to consumer protection and distributor support, Amway India, a prominent leader in health and wellness, has launched a robust awareness campaign against unauthorized sales of its products. The initiative is aimed at educating consumers and stakeholders about the risks of purchasing products from unauthorized channels, while reinforcing its stringent supply chain measures to ensure product authenticity and safety.

The company’s strategy focuses on raising awareness, monitoring distribution networks, and implementing strict action against those involved in unauthorized selling. This includes bolstering support for authorized distributors through targeted resources and education sessions. The campaign underscores Amway’s unwavering dedication to ensuring that consumers receive only genuine Amway products, which are available exclusively through official distributors or the Amway website.

Amway India has taken a Zero Tolerance Policy towards unauthorized sales, recognizing the dangers posed by counterfeit products often sold through unapproved third-party platforms. These products, which bypass Amway’s rigorous quality checks, can pose serious risks to consumer safety and damage the trust built by authorized distributors. To combat this, the company has clearly outlined penalties, including the suspension or termination of distributors involved in unauthorized sales.

Speaking about the initiative, an Amway India spokesperson emphasized, “Our commitment to consumer safety is paramount. Unauthorized sellers not only compromise product quality but also undermine the efforts of our dedicated distributors who ensure customers receive authentic products, expert advice, and guaranteed satisfaction.”

To ensure consumer protection, Amway India strictly prohibits the sale of its products through unauthorized channels such as retail stores, supermarkets, or third-party e-commerce platforms. All authentic Amway products in India carry the label ‘Sold only through Amway Direct Selling Partners,’ reassuring customers of their quality and authenticity. Purchases made through authorized channels offer the added benefits of a money-back guarantee and personalized recommendations from distributors, ensuring a seamless and reliable consumer experience.

In a bid to educate stakeholders further, Amway has been actively running social media campaigns, issuing legal notices in newspapers, and posting warning messages on its website. Additionally, the compliance team conducts exclusive sessions for distributors to keep them informed about the dangers of unauthorized sales.

Strengthening its delivery network has also been a key focus for Amway India. With coverage across over 17,000 pin codes, the company has significantly reduced its average delivery time to just 1.6 days. Impressively, 87 per cent of metro city orders are now delivered within 24 hours, enhancing customer satisfaction and reducing the appeal of unauthorized sellers.

This initiative marks another step in Amway India’s journey to protect its consumers and distributors while promoting safe, high-quality products in the market.
