In a groundbreaking move towards sustainable logistics, Blue Dart, South Asia’s premier express air and integrated transportation company, has launched India’s largest Low-Emission Integrated Operating Facility in Bijwasan, Delhi. This state-of-the-art hub, powered by solar energy, marks a significant stride in Blue Dart’s commitment to operational excellence and environmental stewardship.
Strategically located along the bustling Dwarka Expressway, the facility is just 20 minutes from Indira Gandhi International Airport, positioning it as a vital logistics nexus for North India. With direct access to the IGI Airport, Indian Railways, metro corridors, and key national highways, it seamlessly integrates with the forthcoming Gati Shakti Logistics Corridor, bolstering multimodal connectivity and reinforcing Blue Dart’s role as a crucial trade facilitator.
Spanning an impressive 2.5 lakh sq. ft., the facility boasts a capacity to handle over 5.5 lakh shipments daily, enabled by cutting-edge automated systems that enhance efficiency and reduce manual intervention. Its solar power installation, with a capacity of 600 kW, underscores the company’s drive toward sustainable energy practices, aiming to significantly cut carbon emissions.
