State-run telecom company BSNL will start rolling out 4G network from November onwards and gradually upgrade it to 5G by August 2023, Company’s Chairman and Managing Director PK Purwar said at the India Mobile Congress, here today.
BSNL has plans to roll out almost 1.25 lakh 4G mobile sites in 18 months, he said, adding that the company is in discussion with IT major TCS and state-run telecom research and development organisation C-DOT-led consortium to deploy indigenously developed 4G technology in the network.
