The Officers’ Club at Paradip Port buzzed with excitement on Saturday as the 5th Invitation Corporate Badminton Tournament 2025 was officially inaugurated. This much-anticipated event aims to foster sportsmanship, camaraderie, and healthy competition among employees from a wide range of organizations across the Paradip Port region.
The tournament was formally inaugurated by PL Haranadh, Chairman of the Paradip Port Authority (PPA), in the presence of Nilabhra Dasgupta, Deputy Chairman, and AK Bose, Advisor (Traffic). In their addresses, the dignitaries underscored the vital role of sports in promoting a healthy work-life balance, enhancing team spirit, and building strong professional networks.
Chairman Haranadh expressed his enthusiasm, emphasizing the tournament’s role in strengthening community bonds among professionals from diverse industries. He reaffirmed the organizers’ commitment to upholding the highest standards of sportsmanship and delivering a well-organized, competitive tournament experience.
This year’s edition has attracted over 100 players representing corporate entities from Paradip and various parts of the state. The tournament features matches across multiple categories, including men’s and women’s singles and doubles, offering a platform for both seasoned players and emerging talents to showcase their skills.
The spirited competition will continue throughout the weekend, culminating in a grand finale on Sunday. A prize distribution ceremony will mark the conclusion of the tournament, celebrating the winners and runners-up for their outstanding performances.
