Dalmia Bharat Limited (DBL), one of India’s leading cement manufacturers, has successfully achieved its production capacity target of 49.5 million tonnes per annum (MTPA) for FY25. This milestone follows the commencement of commercial production at its Rohtas Cement Works (RCW) plant in Bihar, where an additional 0.5 MTPA capacity became operational on 30th March 2025.

With an investment of ₹96 crore, this expansion at RCW has increased the plant’s total capacity to 1.6 MTPA. The commissioning of Line 2 is a strategic move that reinforces DBL’s leadership in the Eastern region, furthering its long-term goal of scaling capacity to 110-130 MTPA by 2031.

Puneet Dalmia, Managing Director & CEO, Dalmia Bharat Limited, emphasized the significance of this achievement, saying, “Our growth in the East reflects our strong belief in the region’s development potential. With this expansion, we are enhancing our ability to support key infrastructure projects and contribute to economic progress. I am pleased to announce that we have successfully reached our target of 49.5 million tonnes by FY25, marking another key achievement in our expansion journey.”

DBL maintains a strong presence in the Eastern region with manufacturing units in Bihar, Jharkhand, West Bengal, and Odisha. This latest expansion will boost its ability to serve growing infrastructure demands, particularly in sectors such as roads, railways, and airports. Additionally, the initiative is expected to generate employment opportunities and drive regional economic growth.

Committed to sustainability, innovation, and high-quality cement solutions, Dalmia Bharat continues to play a vital role in India’s infrastructure development while steadily advancing toward its ambitious growth vision.
