Raja Mahotsav was celebrated at the Rajgangpur Unit of Dalmia Cement (Bharat) Limited with fervor and gaiety. During the three-day festival which started on Wednesday, varieties of cultural events and sports activities for children, girls and women were organised to promote Odisha’s rich tradition and culture.
Events like Sajabaja, Raja Doli, Raja Pana, Jhoti, Kite Flying, Musical Chair, Tug of war, Skipping, Basketball, Mati Handi race, etc. were enjoyed by all.
On the final day of the celebration, heartwarming cultural event was organised involving varieties of Odia traditional dance forms by the in-house artistes. Raja is a great festival for expression of our gratitude towards women and its significance was so beautifully narrated through varieties of traditional dances and cultural programs including mythological drama ‘Shri Krishna Janmashtami’. At the end, Mahaprasad of Shree Jagannath was served to all.
Dalmia Cement (Bharat) Ltd. Senior Executive Director and National Manufacturing Head Ganesh Wamanrao Jirkuntwar, DBCL Executive Director & Rajgangpur Unit Head Chetan Shrivastav and Refractories Plant Head Birendra Prasad graced the occasion as guests. Sangam Mahila Mandal President Preeti Jirkuntwar, Jagruti Mahila Mandal President Saroj Srivastava, Barnali Prasad and its members were also present in the event.
Guests, audience and other members of Dalmia Cement family were mesmerised seeing the beauty and high standards of Odia tradition and rich culture brought out so beautifully through the three-day celebration.
Jirkuntwar lauded the superb display of talent by in-house artistes who made the function successful.
Colourful cultural programmes marked the celebration of Raja Mahotsav. Employees of DCBL Rajgangpur Unit’s Admin & HR, Estate, Security, Fire, Cement & Refractories departments contributed to the grand success of the colourful extravaganza.
