Bhubaneswar, August 20, 2024 (TBB Bureau): Dalmia Cement (Bharat) Limited (DCBL), one of India’s leading cement companies, on Tuesday announced that its Dalmia Private Industrial Training Institute (DITI) in Rajgangpur, Odisha, has secured the second rank in the prestigious All-India Grading of Industrial Training Institutions for the 2024-25 academic session. This accolade, awarded by the Directorate General of Training, New Delhi, under the Ministry of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship, highlights the institute’s exceptional grading score of 9.5 out of 10, underscoring its unwavering commitment to skill development among India’s youth.
A testament to the institute’s inclusivity, 18 per cent of the enrolled candidates at the Rajgangpur center were female, while 84.7 per cent hailed from Scheduled Tribe (ST) backgrounds and 4.1 per cent from Scheduled Caste (SC) communities. The center also achieved an impressive 71 per cent placement rate, reflecting its effectiveness in preparing students for successful careers.
Dalmia Private ITI (DITI) is dedicated to enhancing India’s skilled workforce by providing high-quality technical education and standardized training methods aligned with industry demands. The institute offers long-term ITI certificate courses in trades such as Fitter, Electrician, Machinist, Welder, Computer Operator & Programming Assistant, and Solar Technician (Electrical). DCBL operates two centers, located in Dalmiapuram, Tamil Nadu, and Rajgangpur, Odisha.

The national grading system, a data-driven methodology mandated for all ITIs since the 2017-18 session, saw participation from 14,999 institutes across the country. Dalmia Private ITI’s impressive ranking reflects its consistent performance over the past two academic years, evaluated on critical parameters such as admission rates, female enrollment, passing rates, active participation in Computer-Based Tests (CBT), trade diversity, and the inclusion of candidates from SC/ST/PWD backgrounds.
