In line with its global market practices, Honda Motorcycle & Scooter India (HMSI) has announced a proactive market campaign for its premium motorcycle, the CB300R. The initiative involves a voluntary recall for specific units manufactured between 2018 and 2020 to address a potential issue in the headlight’s internal electrical structure.
The company has identified a possibility of fatigue breakage in the core wires of the internal PCB structure at the root of the terminals. This may result in flickering or complete failure of the headlight in certain motorcycles. As a precautionary measure, HMSI will replace the affected components at no cost to the customers, regardless of the vehicle’s warranty status.
The replacement process will be carried out through Honda’s exclusive BigWing dealerships across India. In a bid to minimize inconvenience and ensure a seamless experience, customers will be directly informed by the dealerships via phone, email, or SMS to bring in their vehicles for inspection and replacement, if required.
Further, CB300R owners can verify whether their motorcycle is part of this service campaign by entering their Vehicle Identification Number (VIN) on the official Honda BigWing website: www.hondabigwing.in. Customers are encouraged to schedule their service appointment in advance to avoid delays at the dealership.
