The Eastern India Regional Council of the Institute of Company Secretaries of India (ICSI-EIRC) orchestrated a dynamic gathering titled “Fagun,” comprising a seminar followed by a vibrant ‘Holi Meet’ on Saturday, in Kolkata. The event proved to be a convergence of insightful discussions, strategic announcements, and festive celebrations, marking a significant milestone for the region’s professional community.
At the outset, ICSI-EIRC Chairman CS (Dr.) Mohit Shaw extended a warm welcome to the participants, setting the stage for a productive exchange of ideas. Dr. Shaw elucidated the nuances of the Annual Membership Scheme 2024, emphasizing its distinctive offerings, including enhanced corporate tie-up benefits for members. Furthermore, he unveiled plans for an upcoming Career & Admission Fair, a pioneering initiative aimed at facilitating undergraduate aspirants who have recently concluded their board examinations, marking a historic first for any regional body of ICSI.
Distinguished resource persons graced the seminar, enriching the discourse with their expertise. ICAI-EIRC Chairman CA Sanjib Sanghi shared insightful perspectives on the topic of “AI & Future of Professionals,” shedding light on the transformative role of Artificial Intelligence in reshaping professional landscapes. Complementing this, CS Manoj K Banthia delved into the intricacies of “Related Party Transactions,” providing attendees with valuable insights into this crucial aspect of corporate governance.
The seminar garnered enthusiastic participation, with over 150 members actively engaging in the discussions. Participants lauded the selection of venues for recent events by ICSI-EIRC, recognizing their strategic positioning within the heart of the city, coupled with convenient access to transportation facilities.
