In a compelling address at the 22nd NALCO Foundation Day Lecture, renowned scholar and spiritual thinker Dr. Chandra Bhanu Satpathy urged the corporate world to prioritize the eradication of unethical practices. Speaking on the theme ‘Ethical Corporate Management,’ Dr. Satpathy underscored the critical role of integrity, accountability, and transparency in fostering sustainable and responsible business operations.
Delivering his insights during the 45th Foundation Day celebrations of National Aluminium Company Ltd (NALCO) on Tuesday, Dr. Satpathy emphasized that ethical management is pivotal for long-term success and societal impact. “Ethical corporate management is not just about adhering to regulations; it’s about aligning business decisions with moral values and fulfilling social, legal, and environmental responsibilities,” he remarked.
Commending NALCO for its dedication to community development and social welfare, Dr. Satpathy acknowledged the company’s efforts in integrating ethical standards with corporate growth. His address resonated with the audience, which included NALCO employees, industry leaders, government officials, and academia, all gathered to reflect on the symbiotic relationship between business ethics and societal progress.
The event commenced with a warm welcome from NALCO Director (Finance) Ramesh Chandra Joshi, who set the tone for the lecture.
Adding a spiritual dimension to the occasion, disciples of the legendary flautist Pandit Hariprasad Chaurasia performed a classical and devotional flute recital, captivating the attendees.
Since its inception in 2002, the NALCO Foundation Day Lecture series has evolved into a cornerstone for intellectual discourse, enhancing the company’s culture of innovation and ethical consciousness. The program concluded with a vote of thanks from Director (HR) Dr. Tapas Kumar Pattanayak, while Executive Director (H&A) Asutosh Rath efficiently coordinated the event.
