RANCHI, JUNE 21, 2024 (TBB BUREAU): The 10th International Yoga Day was celebrated with great enthusiasm at the NTPC Coal Mining Headquarters in Ranchi on Friday, under the theme “Yoga for Self and Society”. The event was graced by Chief Guest Sivam Srivastava, Director (Fuel) of NTPC Limited and Chairman of NTPC Mining Limited (NML), along with Animesh Jain, Regional Executive Director (Coal Mining) & CEO of NML, who served as the Guest of Honour.
The celebration included a yoga session led by Director (Fuel), NTPC Limited, and conducted according to the Yoga Protocol by Yoga Guru Renu Pandey.
Addressing the participants, Director (Fuel) Srivastava emphasized the global recognition of yoga, citing Prime Minister Modi’s advocacy, and described yoga as preventive medicine against lifestyle diseases. He encouraged regular practice for its universal benefits.
Regional Executive Director (Coal Mining) Jain highlighted the importance of incorporating yoga into daily life despite busy schedules, stressing its physical and mental benefits. He thanked the HR team for organizing the session, which he said acted as a refresher for employees.
The event saw the presence of Naveen Jain, CGM of C&M, Rajnish Rastogi from HR, Heads of departments, senior officials, and a large number of employees, all actively participating in the Yoga Day celebrations.
