Bhubaneswar, September 28, 2024 (TBB Bureau): ITC Sunfeast Dark Fantasy, one of India’s most beloved cookie brands known for transforming everyday moments into extraordinary experiences, proudly unveils its latest initiative, “Big Fantasies: Give Wings to Your Imagination.” With this creative and innovation-driven program, the brand seeks to spark creativity and imagination in children by blending art with technology.
This groundbreaking initiative was launched at St. Joseph’s School, Bengaluru, in the presence of children, their parents, and esteemed guests. The event featured a panel discussion on the “Importance of Igniting a Child’s Imagination,” with notable speakers from diverse fields such as space exploration, academia, psychology, and the arts.
The distinguished panel included Mandira Bedi, Prakasha Rao (former ISRO Director), Dr. Megha Mahajan (DM, NIMHANS), and Rev. Fr. Rohan D’Almeida (Principal, St. Joseph’s School). The discussion emphasized the crucial role imagination plays in a child’s holistic development, fostering creativity and problem-solving skills, and encouraging them to embrace new ideas and overcome challenges. Mr. Prakasha Rao highlighted the synergy between creativity and technology, and the importance of imagination in shaping future generations.
Speaking about the new initiative, Ali Harris Shere, COO, Biscuits and Cakes Cluster, Foods Division, ITC Limited, said, “At ITC Sunfeast Dark Fantasy, we believe that the power of fantasy and imagination is essential in transforming children’s lives from the ordinary to the extraordinary. With ‘Big Fantasies,’ we are thrilled to introduce a first-of-its-kind ‘tech on wheels’ in India, offering children a unique platform to express themselves and watch their fantasies come alive. We are excited to ignite wonder and innovation in young minds across the country, inspiring them to explore limitless possibilities as they grow.”
The initiative’s centerpiece is the “Fantasy Spaceship,” a bus equipped with expansive interactive screens, designed to travel to schools across India. Using advanced technology, children’s hand-drawn designs are transformed into vibrant digital creations, while preserving their original charm. Once scanned, the artwork is digitally rendered into 3D interactive characters, displayed on large touch-enabled screens inside the Fantasy Spaceship.
Starting in Bengaluru, the campaign will soon expand nationwide, with a mission to ignite children’s imaginations across the country. By merging art, science, and technology, the program offers an immersive experience where children can watch their creativity come to life. Adding to the excitement, Sunfeast Dark Fantasy unveiled a grand giveaway at the event, offering select children the opportunity to visit NASA, where they can see their dreams unfold in the world of real space exploration.
