JODA/BARBIL, JANUARY 27, 2025
Jindal Steel & Power (JSP) celebrated India’s 76th Republic Day with immense pride and enthusiasm across its Barbil Pellet Plant and iron ore mines in Tensa and Kasia on Sunday.
The celebrations commenced with the ceremonial hoisting of the National Flag by Purushotham MD, Unit Head of the Barbil Pellet Plant. Similar flag-hoisting ceremonies were led by Pramod Patra, Unit Head of Kasia Iron and Dolomite Mines, and Abhimanyu Samal, Unit Head (In-Charge) of TRB Iron Mines in Tensa. These events saw spirited participation from employees, their families, and business associates.
In his message on the occasion, JSP Chairman Naveen Jindal reflected on the significance of the day, stating, “On January 26, 1950, India became a Republic with the adoption of its Constitution. Today, I pay tribute to the Constitution makers, freedom fighters, and brave soldiers whose sacrifices made our freedom possible. The Republic stands firm on three pillars — Legislature, Executive, and Judiciary — empowered by ‘We, the People of India.’ It is our collective responsibility to uphold the principles of justice, liberty, equality, and fraternity enshrined in the Constitution.”
Highlighting India’s progress over the past 75 years, Jindal added, “From monumental infrastructure projects like the Bhakra Nangal Dam to groundbreaking space missions like Chandrayaan, Aditya-L1, and Gaganyaan, India has achieved remarkable milestones. Iconic initiatives such as the Atal Setu, Chenab Rail Bridge, Atal Tunnel, and expanded metro and rail networks have firmly placed India among the world’s leading nations.”
Jindal also shared his sentiments on social media, emphasizing, “The tricolour is not just a flag; it is a symbol of our unity, integrity, and national identity. Under it, we are all equal, and our sole identity is Indian.”
The Republic Day celebrations across JSP’s units were marked by vibrant cultural programs, where employees and their families showcased their patriotic spirit through engaging performances. The events reflected the collective commitment of JSP to the nation’s progress and the principles of the Constitution.
