Reliance Jio continues its impressive stride as the premier digital service provider in Odisha, emerging as the leading choice for consumers across the state. According to the latest telecom subscriber data released by TRAI, Jio secured the highest number of mobile subscribers in Odisha in December 2023. The data reveals that Jio welcomed over 1.4 lakh new mobile subscribers during the month, while its closest competitor, Airtel, only managed to add 2522 mobile subscribers in the same period. Meanwhile, both VI and BSNL experienced a decline in their mobile subscriber base during the month.
As of December 31, 2023, the total number of mobile subscribers on the Jio network in Odisha surpassed 1.48 crores. The overall telecom subscriber base in Odisha witnessed an increase of over 1.15 lakhs in December, bringing the total number of mobile subscribers in the state to 3.32 crores. Jio’s consistent growth in subscriber numbers in Odisha is evident from its addition of over 9 lakh new mobile subscribers throughout 2023, further solidifying its leadership position in the state’s telecom market.
On a national scale, Jio continues its upward trajectory by adding over 39.94 lakh subscribers in October, bringing the total mobile subscriber base on the Jio Network to over 45.98 crores. This reaffirms Jio’s status as the premier digital service provider in the country.
Notably, Reliance Jio maintains its stronghold in Odisha’s digital landscape, commanding a substantial 44.6% subscriber market share and an impressive 52% revenue market share in the industry.
