Jio strengthens market leadership in Odisha, adds over 1 lakh subscribers in November: TRAI Report

has solidified its position as Odisha’s leading digital services provider, adding over 1 lakh new subscribers in November 2024, according to the latest report by the Telecom Regulatory Authority of India (TRAI). This impressive growth reinforces Jio’s dominance in both the mobile and wireline segments.

Jio gained more than 91,000 mobile subscribers and over 13,000 JioFiber and Jio AirFiber users in the state during the month. With these additions, Jio’s total mobile subscriber base in Odisha has crossed 1.55 crore, giving the telecom giant a commanding 45% market share.

Meanwhile, competitors struggled to keep pace. BSNL managed to add approximately 15,000 mobile subscribers, while Airtel and Vodafone Idea (VI) experienced declines, losing over 26,000 and 6,000 subscribers, respectively. Odisha’s overall mobile subscriber base grew by more than 74,000 in November, with Jio accounting for the lion’s share of this growth.

Nationally, Jio extended its lead by adding over 12 lakh mobile subscribers in November, outperforming all other telecom operators.

In the wireline segment, Jio continued its dominance in Odisha, with over 13,000 new JioFiber and Jio AirFiber subscribers. The company now boasts more than 3.84 lakh wireline customers in the state, delivering cutting-edge home entertainment, unlimited WiFi, and high-speed broadband.

Jio’s robust 4G and 5G networks, complemented by innovative solutions like Jio AirFiber, have cemented its reputation as Odisha’s preferred digital service provider. With a 52% revenue market share, Jio is not just redefining home entertainment but also bridging the digital divide, especially in remote and underserved areas.
