Equipped with advanced medical technology, the new center promises round-the-clock emergency services for life-threatening situations such as cardiac arrests, strokes, road traffic accidents, and severe injuries. It features cutting-edge diagnostic tools, trauma bays, and life-support systems, supported by a multidisciplinary team of highly trained specialists.
In addition, the center boasts a fleet of GPS-enabled ambulances designed for swift patient transport, ensuring timely intervention during emergencies. Seamlessly integrated with KHL’s specialty departments like cardiology, neurology, orthopedics, pediatrics, and critical care, the center offers holistic and efficient treatment pathways.
“This transformed Emergency and Trauma Care Center is a beacon of hope for the people of Odisha,” said Dr. Dash during the inaugural event. He also outlined KHL’s ambitious roadmap, which includes establishing a medical college, a cancer care center, a ‘Dharmasala’ for patients’ families, and advancing clinical research in collaboration with Kalinga Institute of Health Sciences (KIHS), CRO, and IMCR.
