Kansai Nerolac Paints Limited (KNPL), one of India’s leading paint companies, has announced the appointment of Pravin Chaudhari as its new Managing Director, effective April 1, 2025. He succeeds Anuj Jain, who has taken early retirement after an illustrious 35-year journey with the company to pursue personal interests.
With over three decades of rich experience in the paints industry, Chaudhari is widely respected for his strategic foresight, operational excellence, and dynamic leadership. His association with Kansai Nerolac began in 1993 when he joined as a Management Trainee. Since then, he has risen through the ranks, having held prominent positions including Director of Industrial Sales & Operations and Director of Supply Chain. His professional trajectory also includes a successful tenure as an Executive Officer at Kansai Paint Co., Ltd. in Japan and a leadership role at Pidilite Industries, where he served as CEO of Special Projects.
An alumnus of the University of Mumbai, Chaudhari holds degrees in engineering and management. He is known for his deep business acumen, a forward-looking vision, and a steadfast commitment to nurturing high-performing teams.
Speaking on his new role, Chaudhari said, “It is an honour to lead Kansai Nerolac, an organisation that has played a defining role in the Indian paint industry for more than 100 years. I am excited to build on the foundation established by all previous managing directors and enthusiast Nerolites, who have shaped our company into what it is today. Kansai Nerolac has expressed its confidence in Chaudhari’s leadership as the company charts its path forward, driven by innovation, sustainability, and customer-centric growth. The company also conveyed its deepest gratitude to Anuj Jain for his exemplary service across various roles and geographies, and for steering the company with distinction during his tenure as Managing Director.
Chaudhari will be based at Kansai Nerolac’s corporate headquarters in Mumbai.
