PARADIP, JULY 16, 2024 (TBB BUREAU): In Paradip, a port city steeped in tradition, the Bahuda Yatra (return journey) of the Trinity – Lord Balabhadra, Lord Jagannath, and Goddess Subhadra – unfolded with profound religious fervour on Monday.
PL Haranadh, Chairman of the Paradip Port Authority, performed the revered ‘Chhera Pahanra’ ritual, sanctifying and adorning Lord Jagannath’s majestic chariot.
The streets teemed with hundreds of devotees and residents, drawn together as the adorned chariot of the Trinity, bedecked with flowers and resounding with sacred chants, traversed through the city. The rhythmic clang of cymbals and the resonant blow of conch shells infused the atmosphere with spirituality, forging a collective bond of devotion among the community.
As the chariot wended its way back to the temple gates, blessings rained down upon the participants, marking the Bahuda Yatra as a joyous celebration of faith and communal harmony in Paradip.
