Sundergarh, December 29, 2024 (TBB Bureau): Mahanadi Mines and Minerals Private Limited, a subsidiary of Adani Enterprises Limited, has taken a proactive step towards supporting local farmers through its Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiatives. The company recently organized farmer training programs in Girisima and Jharpalam villages, benefiting over 150 farmers with valuable insights into modern agricultural techniques.
The programs, conducted with the participation of Chandraba Majhi, Sarpanch of Jharpalam, and Shashi Bhushan Pradhan, Block Agriculture Officer, aimed to enhance agricultural productivity while minimizing farming costs. Pradhan also highlighted various welfare schemes provided by the agriculture department, encouraging farmers to utilize these resources to improve their livelihoods.
The sessions focused on introducing advanced farming practices and providing hands-on guidance to improve crop yields. To further support the farmers, kitchen garden kits containing vegetable seeds and essential agricultural tools were distributed to select participants at the end of each program.
The initiative received strong support from the local panchayat members of Girisima and Jharpalam villages, who joined hands with the CSR team of Mahanadi Mines and Minerals to ensure the success of the event.
